APRIL PURELY BOOKS SUBSCRIPTION | BOOK BOX CLUB UNBOXING

Today, I'm unboxing something really exciting on my blog. I got chosen as part of Book Box Club's Blogger Army a few weeks ago, and I was super excited to receive my first Purely Books parcel.

The Purely Books subscription contains the featured read of the month, a signed bookplate, and an invitation to the exclusive online book group, where you'll be joined by the author.

"Purely Books subscriptions are perfect for the reading purist, who loves great books without the goodies. We send all of our subscribers (Book Box Club and Purely Books) the same featured reads and book group invites, so all members can enjoy the bookish fun together!" (
Book Box Club)

The book came beautifully presented; as did the clubhouse invitation. Take a look at how aesthetically pleasing the presentation is. I love that the invitations are personalised; those small extra touches make all the difference.

Let's get talking about the book that was included this month.

Book: The Hand, the Eye and the Heart
Author: Zoe Marriott
Synopsis: Zhilan was assigned female at birth. Despite a gift for illusions, they know they are destined to live out their life within the confines of the women’s quarter. But when civil war sets the empire aflame, Zhilan is determined save their disabled father from the battlefield. By taking his place. Surviving brutal army training as a boy – Zhi – is only the first challenge. In the glittering court of the Land of Dragons, love and betrayal are two sides of the same smile, and soon the fate of a nation rests on Zhi’s shoulders. But to win, they must decide where their heart truly belongs…

I think this subscription is absolutely perfect for any bookish fanatics out there; that are purely interested in the nitty gritty reading. I think it's also great that you get to talk about your experience with that particular book, online, and gives you the chance to chat to people who share similar interests to you; which I know can be quite a scary thing in person - so having a virtual safe space to do that is a brilliant idea.

The invitation comes with a gorgeous design, based upon the featured read of the month - and take a look at April's one. Isn't it absolutely stunning

I'm extremely excited to get involved with the online chat in a few weeks, and I'll do another blog post about my first experience in the Clubhouse. In the meantime, if you're interested in knowing more about either of the subscriptions (and one-off boxes), that Book Box Club offer, you can visit their website at bookboxclub.com, and use code BLOGARMY5 to get 5% off your Purely Books subscription, or Book Box Club subscription.

Have you tried a box from Book Box Club before? I would love to hear your experiences.
