So this year I went to YALC (29th-31st July 2016). The video above pretty much sums up the weekend and the books I received but I thought you might like to see photos of the books I got signed, panels I attended and some snaps of me with some of my favourite authors.
So on the Friday, I attended two panels. The first was Behind Magical Systems featuring Sally Green, Melinda Salisbury, Taran Matharu and V.E. Schwab. It was a great panel and being a fan of all the authors, it was a great first panel to kick the weekend off with.
The second panel I went to on Friday was Fantasy London. This panel featured Samantha Shannon, V.E. Schwab and Ben Aaronovitch. This panel was really interesting and introduced me to a new series about London which I can't wait to read! Ben was so funny and had the audience in stitches throughout most of the chat.
On the Friday, I met some pretty great authors:
Melinda Salisbury - The Sin Eater's Daughter & The Sleeping Prince
Taran Matharu - The Summoner Series
Samantha Shannon - The Bone Season Series
That ended day one of YALC. And this was my book haul from day one.
Day 2 began and I met some more awesome authors:
Kass Morgan - The 100 Series
Nat Luurtsema - Girl Out of Water
Sara Barnard - Beautiful Broken Things
Annabel Pitcher - Ketchup Clouds
There were also a lot of proofs and books that I bought that were already signed but this post will be far too long if I post them too!
That ended day 2 and this was my book haul from day 2 at YALC.
