The Bone Season Book Tag

Thank you to the lovely thelittlebookowl for tagging me in this amazing tag. The Song Rising (the hotly anticipated 3rd book in The Bone Season series) is out TODAY! As soon as I was tagged in this, I had to participate...I mean, come on...it's TBS.

1. The Bone Season – favourite dystopian setting or if you don’t read many dystopian novels, favourite first book in a series.
Obviously, my first thought goes straight to The Bone Season but I will try not to choose TBS as much as possible so this tag isn't just a Bone Season overload. I'm going to say A Court of Thorn and Roses. That book (in fact, the entire series), is simply stunning and as soon as you start, you just feel utterly compelled to read it.

2. The Mime Order – pick a book that finished on a cliffhanger ending
Obviously, a lot of books end on cliffhanger endings and as soon as I read this question, two books sprung to mind. They aren't my favourite books but the endings just finished on such a cliffhanger, I just HAD to read the next books in the series. The first was Insurgent by Veronica Roth and the second was The Maze Runner by James Dashner...both bloody awesome authors. (In reality, the book that was left on the best "OH MY GOD" cliffhanger ever was The Mime Order but ya know, trying to avoid TBS.

3. The Song Rising – pick a book that you are highly anticipated this year
There are three books I am so looking forward to this year. Lord of Shadows, The Potion Diaries: Going Viral and A Court of Wings and Ruin. I don't feel like an explanation is needed on why I'm excited for any of these books.

4. The Pale Dreamer – pick a favourite novella or short story
Dream A Little Christmas Dream by the lovely Giovanna Fletcher. One of the sweetest novellas I've ever read.

5. Paige Mahoney – pick you favourite heroine
Hermione was one of my favourite heroines growing up. She made it "cool" to be intelligent and that trying hard at school didn't mean you couldn't be liked by people. She was just a complete badass.

6. Warden – pick your favourite unlikely love interest
This time, I have to venture into Bone Season answers because Warden is and always will be my favourite character ever. Not to sound cheesy but he is everything I ever wanted in a character and more. He is honestly just perfect.

7. Clairvoyance – what type of clairvoyant do you think you would be or if you haven’t read the series yet what power would you choose if you could

When TBS first was released, they had an aura photobooth at The Seven Dials in London and of course, I had to have a go in there with Samantha herself and we decided I'd be a good jumper, a dreamwalker, in fact.

8. Join the Revolution – pick you favourite action packed book.
It has to be City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare. That book is insanely action-packed and just incredible, much like everything Cassie Clare touches. Even if the ending does drive me absolutely bonkers.
